The ceilidh dance Virginia Reel is one of Ceilidh Tree’s all time favourites. We usually include it early on in a set as it’s so quick to teach and also helps us start with a bit of a bang. The dramatic formation with two long lines and that crucial final gallop in the Virginia Reel
Hampshire is blessed with some fine ceilidh and barndance venues and one of our all time faves is the Tithe Barn near Petersfield. It’s a stunning Grade 2 listed space for dancing with a vaulted ceiling that makes for a superb acoustic. It’s usefully placed right on the Sussex border too so good for both
