What band options do you offer?
We usually perform as a trio or a quartet. The quartet is three instruments (fiddle, guitar, accordion) and caller and the trio is one less instrument but also with caller. Our caller doesn’t usually play an instrument so they can fully host the ceilidh but depending on the group, it’s sometimes possible. We regularly provide a ceilidh and disco package and bagpiper and jazz / classical duo or soloist for earlier. We also offer a budget friendly ceilidh duo of guitarist caller and fiddle or accordion or just a solo caller with backing. We can also, on request, perform with a bodhrán player, percussionist, flute, whistle or bass player.

What’s the difference between the trio and quartet?
The quartet is fiddle, guitar, accordion and caller and the trio is either fiddle, guitar and caller or fiddle, accordion and caller. The quartet has a fuller sound with the extra musician though it’s a fairly subtle difference between the two and we perform with both lineups for events of all sizes.

What type of music do you play?
Stomping folk music for dancing! We often provide solely Scottish ceilidhs or Irish ceilidhs. You can choose to focus on one tradition or a combination if preferred.

Are your ceilidhs suitable for beginners?
Yes! The majority of events we perform at have a significant number of guests that are completely new to ceilidh dancing. However there’s often a mix of abilities present & we tailor each ceilidh to suit the dancing level of the guests, starting with very easy dances and progressing through as required.
